Review of the Desperado N5 by Magic YoYo from China. First the key data of the Desperado: Diameter: 50,8mm Width: 45,3mm Weight: 69,5 gram Bearing: Concave size C Response system: Silicone This full metal yo-yo has a fixed gap and cannot be adjusted. It is available in different colors. Play behavior: The sleeper is OK for normal tricks, but cannot compete with similar yo-yos. At long combos the Desperado is missing power at the end. For comparison I put the bearing of the X³ Aware into the Magic YoYo. And what a surprise: A fat sleeper and playing this yo-yo even makes fun. So the stock bearing of the Desperado is not very good. For grinds, there is not much to say. Thumbgrinds can be done if you tilt the yo-yo a bit and normal grinds are kind of short. Binding is OK, sometimes a little harsh. Conclusion: The Desperado leaves an ambivalent impression. With a price of about 18€ via Ebay plus shipping directly from China it is unbeatably cheap. For this you get a metal yo-yo which you can play. But if you want to have fun with it on a long term you should change the stock bearing with one with a higher quality. Depending on the bearing, you may invest here again half of the price of the yo-yo. This yo-yo will not be one of my personal favorites, but as a cheap metal yo-yo it will find its customers.
